Essie Topless and Barefoot, Feed Me

I've been on the search for a milky, nude polish for the spring.  TiffanyD mentioned on Twitter that she found the perfect color so I decided to check it out.  Essie's Topless and Barefoot is THE PERFECT color in my opinion.

It's a perfect balance between nude, pink and peach!  I also paired it with Essie's Feed Me basecoat.  My nails have been going through a peeling stage and it was recommended that I use a moisturizing base coat so I picked this up at Walmart.  By the way, Walmart is now carrying Essie polishes! Hooray!

Birchbox #1

I have been hearing about Birchboxes from watching YouTube.  Birchbox is a monthly subscription that costs $10 a month or $100 for a year. They send you 4-5 deluxe size samples.  If you like the product you can also buy them through Birchbox's site and earn points. You can also earn points by filling out surveys about the samples you received.  I think the concept of trying sample sizes of luxury beauty products before diving headfirst and possibly wasting your money is a great one!  So I decided to try it out.

Products I'm Loving Right Now

As I sit here thinking about what to post as my first blog posting, I figured I'd let you know what I'm loving for the first 3 months of 2011.



MAC Pro Longwear Foundation
I like this foundation because it lasts on my face all day.  I put it on in the morning and seems to last with me throughout the day.  All I do is blot and maybe re-powder.



Stilla Smudge Pot in Kitten
I love this for a light daytime look with some black gel liner, which brings me to my next love.



MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack
This is by far my favorite gel liner.  Goes on smooth and lasts a long while.




Aquaphor Healing Ointment
I have dry lips. As dry as the Sahara.  One of my favorite beauty "guru's", Nurburxo recommended using Aquaphor as a lip balm.  I slather it on at night before bed and wake up with smooth, moisturized lips.  I need a smaller travel tube to stash in my purse!
